Flipping heck I know its Sunday and all put I have got a terrible tooth problem that is going to need seeing to. Last night I went out for a meal with friends and what happened when we were eating kind of ruined (well totally ruined) the evening as I was home for 10. I broke a piece off my tooth. It hurt straight away and I knew I would be having trouble with it after. But what could I have done at that time on a Saturday night, not a lot really. Hardly slept all night because of the pain and I know its Sunday but what are my options please. The pain is just dire. Thanks in advance for any advice, I am desperate please help.

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
Breaking a tooth can be very painful, it is no wonder that you are feeling this way. I understand why you might think there is nothing that can be done late at night or on a weekend, but this is not the case, you will be pleased to know. There are emergency dentists available out of hours and these can be accessed via the internet, directly, or through NHS 111. If your local emergency clinic does not have appointments, then you could go further afield or seek private dentistry (if you do not already). Private clinics usually have more capacity for emergency appointments and can often fit you in much more quickly, although this is not always the case. You may need to pay a consultation fee as well as treatment costs at a private clinic, but most would think this is a small price to pay to relieve the pain. Best of luck to you.
