There is something that is really putting me off about getting the zoom witening and it may seem like a silly thing to be worrying about but I think it might hurt because of the laser beam that is in the mouth through the treatment. Could you clarify whether this is the case or am I just being ridiculous here. I know lots of people have it so either it does not hurt or there is a way of masking that pain so that they can have the treatment. Think people would have something else if it’s the case but when you don’t know you don’t know lol.

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
I can put your mind at rest immediately and say that Zoom Whitespeed (laser whitening) does not hurt at all. Some people do feel concern when the word laser is used, but this term is very misleading. The laser is actually a light that is shone into the mouth. The LED light is the secret to its effective whitening. This helps the bleach penetrate further into the pores of the enamel to tackle even the most stubborn discolouration and staining. Also, the gums are protected from the bleaching agent and the LED (laser light) is cool to the touch but powerful enough to activate the whitening bleach. Therefore, there is no reason why any of the processes should hurt at all. There is the chance of mild sensitivity after the treatment, but this is a common side effect of any whitening process and should subside after a day or two. If you are interested in finding out more about Zoom whitespeed then you can book in for a consultation to discuss your options. Best of luck to you.
